Here Comes The eBay Radio Party!

OH boy! I just received word that the eBay Videographers are coming to the Radio Party. Here's the 411, in their own words: "The goal is to capture seller and uniquely eBay stories on camera. There will be a question set we'll ask participants to answer in their own, unique way." This is a contest, with the top 5 videos to be put on a web site and judged after the event. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 with the four runners-up each receiving $250. I've heard the working theme is "I am eBay", so be ready to tell the cameras why YOU are eBay!

My advice to you is: as you pack your bags, sit in the airport start thinking of your short 'elevator speech' in case the video cameras turn on you. Hey, the odds of winning is better than playing the slots - LOL.

Photography, & eBay Marketing

I'm one of the speakers at the event. I giving a presentation on photography and how you can compete against the big box sellers on eBay. This is a completely new talk that I've never, ever, heard anyone present before. This information is new, the results surprising, and I've spent many, many, hours researching the topic. In fact, in preparing the speech it has changed a few assumptions I've had about eBay product photography. Some of the conventional wisdom about eBay photos are challenged by the experimenting done for this presentation.

I  shared the presentation with my partner Dany and she was so inspired by the new material she did a quick 'how to' demo with Photoshop Elements. She shows a sample of one way you can think creatively about your product photos. To view the video click here.

Amazon Conference - July

Colin Sebastian, Digital Media & Internet analyst at Wall Street firm Lazard Capital Markets, estimates that Amazon.com's third-party sellers will generate nearly $9 billion in gross merchandise sales in 2009. This is up from roughly $7 billion in 2008.

If you want to learn more about getting on board in this hotly growing sales venue and great jumping off point is the Independent Sellers Conference next month.

This is the independent conference for entrepreneurs who utilize amazon.com as a sales platform.

Dates = July 10-13 2009
Place - Seattle Airport Marriott and Amazon HQ

This conference is presented to allow sellers to network, learn, and grow their online businesses. Executives from amazon.com will be on hand to lead sessions, answer questions and receive feedback.

Website: http://www.scoe.biz
Location: Kirkland, WA

I've just received a special offer for those who are late to sign-up. The fee to attend now is $325 - but, if you use this special link: http://www.scoe.biz/REFERRAL.html you can still register for $250.00.

This is an affiliate link - if you write in that I referred you - I'll receive $25.00. But that's not why I'm telling you about the link. I want you to be able to attend this important conference at the best possible price. So, what I'm going to do is donate all money I receive from the referrals to my favorite charity - NOAA Animal Center.

One Last Word

Don't forget our dollar offer!

Dany and I have a simple offer - please give The Web Sellers Circle a try for 21 days for $1.00. We're confident you'll find value with the material, the networking opportunities, and the forum discussions.
