I've retuned from an
amazing week at eBay Live! I had a wonderful time, learned so
much, meet new people, saw old friends and had a chance to see the
new eBay management team in action. For those who think they don't
listen to users, think again. They heard us loud and clear. They explained
why some of the changes are necessary to keep the eBay marketplace
growing. They are revisiting and
considering revising other policies based on our input at eBay
Live.
You can read all
the new policy changes and revisions that came out of the
conference by clicking
here.
I haven't had a chance
to go through all my still photos from eBay Live yet. I took several
media cards worth. But, I also took my favorite new tool/toy the Flip
Camera and took footage of the event.
These folks are what
make eBay such a unique place.
One quick note and
request for help. During eBay Live this year a fellow eBay and OSI
Rockstar fell and ended up in the hospital. She'll be there for
several months, her family will be by her side but you know the
expenses will be major.
Here's the story from my
blog post:
Help JanieRuth & Family
Many or you may not have had good luck to meet or talk to Janieruth, an amazing eBayer with a big heart and wonderful sense of humor.
I've known her for a short time, but she quickly touched my heart. We've been exchanging jokes and helping each other grow on the
OSI Rockstars board. It was a pleasure to meet her for the first time 'in person' this year at eBay Live!
Janieruth, while enjoying the sights and sounds at Live! fell off a balcony and ended up in the hospital. She suffered from head injuries and will take several month to recover. Janieruth is in the hospital with her family surrounding her. While the rest of us packed up and came home Sunday we thought of JR
who will be staying behind. While recovering, she'll be in the hospital several more weeks.
That means loss of revenue - (friends are trying to help with her eBay business) and of course, her family has to find a place to stay to be close to her.
If you can afford a little - even a dollar, please donate to help cover the expenses.
I'm starting another eBay Basics Class
on Monday, July 14th, in Mt Vernon, Washington.
For those who
couldn't make it to
eBay Live this year - this is the next best thing
