Amazon Conference - July 10-13 - This WEEK!

Colin Sebastian, Digital Media & Internet analyst at Wall Street firm Lazard Capital Markets, estimates that Amazon.com's third-party sellers will generate nearly $9 billion in gross merchandise sales in 2009. This is up from roughly $7 billion in 2008.

If you want to learn more about getting on board in this hotly growing sales venue, a great jumping off point is the Independent Sellers Conference.

This is the independent conference for entrepreneurs who utilize amazon.com as a sales platform.

Place - Seattle Airport Marriott and Amazon HQ

This conference is presented to allow sellers to network, learn, and grow their online businesses. Executives from amazon.com will be on hand to lead sessions, answer questions and receive feedback.

Wednesday eBay Success Group Meeting

This month our meeting will be held on July 8 - 9:30am - 11:30am, at Lake Forest Park Shopping Center (meeting room off of the food court).

Our topic for July will be Social Networking. What's the difference between Facebook, Twitter, My Space, etc? Where will you get the biggest bang for the buck? If you are already using a site, let's share experiences and tips.

Also, a heads up for our August meeting on 8/12 - Maureen would like to open her home to us and have the meeting out in Snohomish. We could make it a breakfast potluck. I'd like to get some feedback about how many people would like to go so we can let Maureen know. I don't want to have her plan for this if there won't be a good turnout. Great shopping up in Snohomish!

This evening group (6:00 pm) meets at Joni's place. It's a nice quite group and company friendly. We used to meet in Snohomish, but moved south to Mountlake Terrace.
