June is roaring in with lots
of activities! Many subscribers will be attending graduation
ceremonies, wedding parties and heading to the beach. While
those traditional June activities tend to result in slow sales, you
can take advantage of this break to turn your attention to summer school - LOL. There are lots
of learning and social activities for online retailers this month and
next. Which means a long newsletter today.
Let's get started, shall we?
Grand Opening - Web
Sellers' Circle
Things are moving along for
the Web Sellers' Circle membership site. Last week Dany Byrne
& I wrote out our goals and 'to do' lists for the next six months.
In addition to the 8 week training course on Selling Outside of eBay
we just completed -
Dany and I are planning monthly teleseminars & video webinars for
members. Our first one in June will be more about goal setting for your
business using the SMART technique. We've already had a few requests
for classes; more on Vendio and more on creating products using
creative commons material. We've got those on the list too.
Sheryl Schuff, CPA & MBA will be our resident bookkeeping and
accounting expert. We're mapping out a training series on
business start-up and getting your books in order.
You'll have access to many
hours of recorded material that will help you grow your online
business. We have written, audio and video that will help you build
your dream.
Last week we opened our doors to the
charter members. They told us lots of nice things about the site.
Now it's your turn to check it out. No hype about 'crashed servers' or
do or die high pressure deadlines. Dany and I have a simple offer - please give it a try
for 21 days for $1.00. We're confident you'll find value with the
material, the networking opportunities, and the forum discussions.
The eBay Marketing Bible
is slated to ship in
June, just in time for the "Almost Live" party.
After months of seeing
only the Word documents and photos plus countless Skype calls to Cliff -I'm
relieved and delighted that this project is now a
real live bound book.
If you are going to the eBay
Radio Party in Las Vegas this June, I've been invited to sign
copies after my seminar. (I'll be talking about
photography - for those who've heard me talk before, this one will
include new material).

Business Startup Success Club Expert Tips for On-Line Sellers
Sheryl Schuff from the Business Start-up club, and
resident expert on Web Sellers' Circle interviewed me the other
day. If you'd like to listen to the interview, please check it
out on her blog.
While you are there I strongly suggest you get on
her mailing list. Sheryl offers some great insights on running a
small business.
Fees, Fees, Fees.....announced
Some lower, some higher.
The good news; every 30 days, your first 5 Auction-style listings will have NO Insertion Fees when you list with eBay's Sell Your Item form or Simple listing form--regardless of your start price.
(here's a link to the announcement for more information)
The timing of the announcement came before this weeks announcement
that Auctiva will change it's structure from free to fee. Many
sellers use Auctiva as their template and listing management tool.
I know this change is a blow to many users.
It's hard to take fee hikes and changes, it feels
overwhelming at times. It's OK to vent a little - go, yell and
scream - get it out. Take a long walk - and then it's time to try
to figure out how to move your business forward.
There are a number of services available, some
free, some fee based, some less expensive, some more.
If you go to eBay, there are designers who will
create a custom
listing template you can use to create a professional looking
store then use eBays TurboLister. Many of these templates are
fairly inexpensive - so don't think just because they're
professional you can't afford them.
There are several other services as well. Don't
forget Vendio.com. For a fee
they'll provide a listing template and management services. One
thing Vendio offers that Auctiva doesn't is the ability to list
the same item on eBay, Amazon and they provide you with a free
stand alone store. If you'd like more information about Vendio, we
have a webinar on the websellerscircle.com.
If you have a favorite listing tool or template -
please let us know. Send me
an email and I'll put a list together of recommended services
- from the best source there is - you, my readers!

up soon. This is the only conference that the brass

corporate headquarter for lunch. If you've ever wanted to hob-nob
with Amazon Brass this is the one to attend.
This is the independent conference for entrepreneurs who utilize amazon.com as a sales platform.
Dates = July 10-13 2009
Place - Seattle Airport Marriott and Amazon HQ
This conference is presented to allow sellers to network, learn, and grow their online businesses. Executives from
amazon.com will be on hand to lead sessions, answer questions and receive feedback.
I've just received a special offer for those who
are late to sign-up. The fee to attend now is $325 - but, if you
use this special link: http://www.scoe.biz/REFERRAL.html
you can still register for $250.00.
This is an affiliate link - if you write in that I
referred you - I'll receive $25.00. What I'm going to do is donate
any money I receive from the referrals to my favorite charity - NOAA
Animal Center.
What's A Bonanzle Up?
We had a great time at the first ever Bonanzle Up!
